A 5-day tour of Ireland can usually link two or three bases. The real question is how the days are split. A tour with two bases and a travel day between them is gentler than one that changes hotel every night.

Reading a 5-day route: bases and road time
When you compare 5 day tours, sketch each one on a map. Count the hotel nights in each place and estimate the longest driving day. Irish rural roads are slow, so a route that looks compact can still mean several hours in the vehicle.
- Two bases (for example, Galway then Killarney): fewer check-ins, day trips from each town.
- A moving loop: a new town most nights. More variety, more packing.

What five days can include
Many visitors use five days to pair the Cliffs of Moher and Galway with Killarney and the Ring of Kerry. The Cliffs sit roughly between the two areas, so they can fit on the travel day.
What to check before booking
- Number of hotels and nights at each.
- Longest driving day, and where the breaks are.
- Whether the tour starts and ends in the same city.
- Room type and any single supplement if travelling alone.
