A Galway to Cliffs of Moher tour is a much shorter trip than one from Dublin or Cork, so the day usually leaves room for other stops. The Burren, a karst landscape of bare limestone between Galway Bay and the cliffs, is on the way. Which stops a tour makes, and whether cliff entry is included, varies by tour.

The route south: Galway Bay and the Burren
Heading south from Galway, the road follows the edge of Galway Bay into north Clare. The Burren is known for its limestone pavements, wildflowers and ancient monuments. Villages such as Ballyvaughan and Doolin lie in this area. Some tours travel one way along the coast and return inland, or the reverse.
Galway or Doolin as a starting point?
